Ya sabéis que me encanta la fotografía. Como periodista estudié fotoperiodismo y luego con mi trabajo en el día a día hago muchas fotos de producto, lifestyle, reportajes de viajes, moda, familia, etc. Me escribís periódicamente para que os recomiendo cámaras. No soy una experta pero sí he probado y pruebo continuamente tipos y marcas. Yo tengo una réflex pata negra que hace unas fotos maravillosas pero que pesa una condena. Viajar con ella no es desde luego cómodo ni práctico con los niños, más aún si quiero llevar diferentes objetivos. Al final me limito a la focal fija de 50 mm. pero luego hecho en falta otras opciones de zoom. Mi primera cámara analógica fue una Canon. Con ella hice muchos viajes por el mundo. Este verano he tenido la oportunidad de probar la PowerShot SX70 HS en diferentes trabajos y os quiero contar mi opinión sobre ella. Es una cámara bridge de Canon. Lo que suele llamarse una cámara puente con buenas funcionalidades y un gran zoom. Está a medio camino entre las compactas y las cámaras DSLR (réflex), son comparables en tamaño a las más pequeñas de estas últimas pero en peso a las primeras ¿las conocías? Son ideales para viajar porque aunque no tienen lentes intercambiables disponen de un zoom tremendamente largo. Eso era lo que yo necesitaba con los niños. Seguid leyendo para saber más.
No sé qué buscáis vosotras en una cámara. Yo quiero que pese poco, que sea rápida en el disparo (si tiene la opción de ráfaga mejor que mejor), que tenga Wifi para pasarme al momento las fotos al móvil desde donde las edito en Lightroom y que aporte nitidez en la imagen. Es decir, tengo la manía de ampliar todas y cada una de las fotos para verificar que las caras no salen borrosas.
La rapidez en el disparo es esencial porque los niños se mueven mucho y la mejor foto suele ser la más natural, la foto ‘robada’ que digo yo. Si en ese movimiento que captas de manera espontánea aparece una mano o pierna borrosa, ‘malamente’ que diría Rosalía. Por ello utilizo mucho el disparo con ráfaga. Lo aprendí en las pasarelas de moda y me salva en todas las sesiones. La Canon PowerShot SX70 HS tiene ráfaga y es muy rápido su obturador.
También soy muy estricta con la calidad de imagen. Mis fotos las publico en redes sociales y quiero que se vean perfectas sin caras difuminadas. Vosotras las utilizaréis para vuestros álbumes familiares. Cuando ampliéis la foto para que se imprima el programa os pedirá la máxima calidad de imagen. Esto no lo dan todos los móviles y es una de las preguntas que más respondo. Los que utilizáis móviles para hacer las fotos de viaje sabéis que si solo son para guardar en el propio móvil o publicar en Facebook o Instagram pues ya está, pero luego si vais a crear un álbum digital las fotos no saldrán bien. Os recomiendo una cámara con Wifi o Bluetooth como esta para tener los mejores recuerdos impresos.
También os comentaba el peso. Imaginad, quiero la mejor cámara, la más pequeña y ligera, con las mejores funcionalidades, la más rápida de respuesta y el mejor zoom. La Canon PowerShot SX70 HS es una bridge de alta gama con un alto rango de zoom, 65 aumentos ópticos (equivalentes a 21-1365 mm). Podéis disparar en RAW con ella que ya sabéis que es el formato que os permitirá recuperar luego en la edición toda la información de la imagen. Tiene una pantalla articulada (que no es táctil) y visor electrónico con buena resolución (sin sensor de activación).
¿Qué me ha gustado de ella?
Es muy ligera, pesa poco más de 600 gramos. Ideal para llevar en el bolso o colgada al hombro sin que os moleste. Su formato recuerda mucho al de las réflex. El objetivo lleva una tapa con una correa para que esta no se pierda. Os parecerá una tontería pero suelo perder las tapas.
La batería se carga rápidamente y dura todo un día disparando la cámara sin parar, incluso transfiriendo las imágenes al móvil con el Wifi y desde la app de Canon. Esta aplicación da la opción hasta de disparar la cámara desde ella e incluso parar un vídeo. El emparejamiento con el smartphone es súper sencillo y esto se agradece mucho al fabricante.
Me encanta la luminosidad que aporta a las imágenes hechas de día con luz natural. He de decir que de noche o en situaciones de poca luz (interiores) este tipo de cámaras bridge en general se quedan cortas en comparación con las DSLR. El enfoque funciona muy bien tanto el modo convencional como el continuo. Esto tiene que ver con la respuesta rápida que os decía cuándo hago fotos de familia.
Yo utilizo el modo manual aunque este verano he testado también otros modos. Tenéis las opciones de escenas para autorretratos, retratos (hasta una función para dejar la piel tersa, sí, sí tal como leéis), para fotos de comida, para escenas nocturnas sin trípode y para captar fuegos artificiales. También tenéis filtros creativos. Jugar vais a poder jugar con ella aunque al final, como yo, utilicéis las funciones más básicas porque el secreto de la fotografía está en el ojo que la hace.

Traveling with it is certainly not comfortable or practical with children, especially if I want to carry different lenses. This summer I had the opportunity to try the PowerShot SX70 HS in different jobs and I want to tell you my opinion about it. It is a Canon bridge camera. What is usually called a bridge camera with good features and a great zoom. It is halfway between the compact and DSLR cameras (SLR), they are comparable in size to the smallest of the latter but in weight to the first ones, are you familiar with them? I don’t know what you may look for in a camera. I want that it weighs little, that it is fast in the shot (if it has the option of burst even better), that it has Wifi to send the photos to the mobile from the moment where I edit them in Lightroom and that it contributes sharpness in the image. The speed in the shot is essential because the children move a lot and the best photo is usually the most natural, the photo “stolen” that I say. What did I like about it?
It is very light, weighs just over 600 grams. Ideal to carry in your bag or hanging on your shoulder without bothering you. Its format is very reminiscent of the SLR. The objective has a lid with a strap so that it is not lost. It will seem silly to you but I usually lose my lens cap.
The battery charges quickly and lasts a whole day shooting the camera without stopping, even transferring the images to the mobile with Wifi and from the Canon app. This application gives the option to shoot the camera from it and even stop a video. Pairing with the smartphone is super simple and this is much appreciated by the manufacturer.
I love the luminosity that it brings to the images made during the day with natural light. I have to say that at night or in low light (indoor) situations, this type of bridge cameras generally falls short compared to DSLRs. The approach works very well in both conventional and continuous mode. This has to do with the quick response that told you when I take family photos.
I use the manual mode although this summer I have also tried other modes. You have the options of scenes for self-portraits, portraits (even a function to leave the skin smooth, yes, yes as you read), for food photos, for night scenes without a tripod and to capture fireworks. You also have creative filters. You are going to be able to play with her, although in the end, like me, you use the most basic functions because the secret of photography is in the eye that does it.
