Desfilaron un total de 12 marcas: Boboli, Genuins, Hatley, Hortensia Maeso, Lea Lelo, Lois, Magnífica Lulú, Nanos, Neck & Neck, Tuc Tuc, Vertbaudet y What’s Up! Kids.

So was the catwalk Petit Style Walking

On October 15th I had the pleasure of attending a new edition of the catwalk Petit Style Walking in Barcelona. It was the first stop of the tour that would later be followed in Madrid and Valencia. In Barcelona, it was held in the Clara Campoamor gardens, on Avenida Diagonal (next to the shopping center Pedralbes Centre). Blogmodabebé was the official blog of the event once again, something that makes me very happy. I followed this fashion show since its inception. I admire the teams effort in every edition of the show, giving the best of themselves. You wouldn’t know who much goes into making this happen, but they are already experts in children’s fashion catwalks, I would say the best in Spain. Increasingly bringing more brands and gathering more interests from multiple families to present this seasons fashion collection. We can find them in stores, encouraging local consumption, but also the Petit Style Walking is a joint catwalk. Here you can see all of the magnificent photos of fashion photographer, Agus Albiol.

Above, you can see me arriving to the event. Petit Style organizes this years passage in benefit of the Casal of the Infants of the Raval and this year they support Ayuda en Accion where their backpacks are being worn in the parade. These backpacks are priced at 6 euros and help a child every day at school by providing all main meals and school materials to study just like the rest.

In the parade, Happy Kids Media, the casting agency of Sugar Kids, also participated in the production. Peugeot was the official vehicle supplier of the tour. Other collaborators consisted of Granini, Haribo, Mister Karton, Rowenta, Erik Vokel Suites Gran Vía and the Spanish Association of Children’s Products (Asepri).

They filed a total of 12 brands: Boboli, Genuins, Hatley, Hortensia Maeso, Lea Lelo, Lois, Magnificent Lulu, Nanos, Neck & Neck, Tuc Tuc, Vertbaudet and What’s Up! Kids. The show opened with a dancer on a snow-filled stage, signifying that winter is already coming to our homes.

Hortensia Maeso opened the parade with beautiful models Gal.la Foraster and Julia Mayer. She presented a collection of ceremony dresses in copper, gold and silver tones. The designer has spent years creating dream dresses to dress children and girls wrapped in delicate fabrics and natural textures, silks, cottons, tulle. Hortensia Maeso is a benchmark in the world of communions. I have followed her for many years and I always enjoy her dream and passionate style, without falling into extravagance.

After Hortensia Maeso followed Tuc Tuc. Perhaps it is a brand that you know more for their childcare but it has always done baby fashion and children’s fashion based on a lifestyle in which fun, daring and adventure of the kids play a leading role. In this edition I saw more black than ever. It is the first brand that chooses this color tone to create looks more street, suitable for all ages.

The Tuc Tuc prints in black, red, with orange, gray and yellow were presented in the parade as the brand of Lelo Read Susana Mazarino. The Petit Style Walking mainly presented her collection of children’s shoes. For years I have seen her shows in FIMI. Lea Lelo is a Spanish brand that is sold a lot on the international market. It is Spain where your children’s shoes can be found in stores like Nuanju.

And after came out one of my favorites, and also for my children, because they like everything to do with Hatley. The Canadian brand represents the image of the most fun children’s world, from their pajamas, to their collection of rain outfits, but especially their extensive collection of kidswear, which is very strange but I personally recommend it. My children wear Hatley almost every day. Dresses for girls are sweet, with a finish very careful, self-assured and comfortable for children. In winter, Hatley brought out their fur vests and warm clothes. The quality of the garments is exceptional. I can assure you that they do not lose color, wash after wash. In Spain, Quasar Agents exclusively distributes this brand.

After the colorful Hatley came Vertbaudet. This is a brand dedicated exclusively to the world of children and their needs. I admire this brand for its collections of children’s decor, but Vertbaudet is much more. They have baby fashion and children’s fashion ranging from 0 to 14 years. Their maternity fashion was what I bought when I was pregnant with my daughter. Home textiles also saw the rooms of my kids. It’s amazing what you can find on its website and at incredible prices.

A brand that was unfamiliar for me is What’s up kids, which comes from a textile group with more than 30 years of experience in the market but it is true that I have not closely followed it. They presented some rocker looks with modern aesthetics. The footwear of these kids were Garvalín.

The rock aesthetics is a must this season and certainly the standard bearer is Boboli. I had the opportunity to see this collection (one of their many lines for autumn and winter 2016-2017) at 080 Barcelona Fashion. I like it because there are black but combined with white, red and blue giving a very popery touch to the garments that are reminiscent of David Bowie and other music legends that have inspired the designers of this Catalan company which, incidentally, just launched their first international subsidiary in Mexico.

Neck & Neck has made a total rebranding. The firm moves away from the classical concept without losing its essence but allowing elegant daily dress for children, not just on Sundays. It has changed its corporate image and even the look and feel of their collections are more suited to the needs of today’s children. Neck & Neck is present in 16 countries with over 200 stores.

And after Neck & Neck another brand notable for its innate elegance, Nanos. This time their collection was inspired by Alice in Wonderland, with full skirts, capri pants, loose blouses, comfortable clothing and versatile fabrics. Candy colors in natural fabrics. Nanos is fortunate to be the brand worn by the princesses of Asturias. This has made it famous around the world.

Genuins also paraded their brand with its smart shoes or ‘bios’ which allows the shoe to adapt to the foot and hugs the foot from the very first step. It is an advanced anatomical conception, although I was particularly surprised by their designs.

It was very exciting collection for Lois Kids, a brand that I love for my children. Follow the same premises as the adult collection to merge fashion and comfort. Dress children from size 6 to 16. Highly recommended for the milennials of the house.

The catwalk of Barcelona Petit Style Walking Magnificent closed with brand Lulu, another unknown to me. As you can see it was the opening brand and also the closing.

But Petit Style Walking did not end here, before the end of the 40 participating children on the catwalk, out came one girl who moved like an earthquake. I was told that her name is Alexia, she was the winner of the talent show “Little Giants”, I have never seen her before but it appears that she had great success. The little girl is 6 years old but moved like a 20 year old dancer. How scary when she is actually 20! She put the final touch to a show very coordinated and very eclectic that brought us the kidswear that is already on the street. I give them a well-deserved applause.
