Las firmas presentes son: Et Sophie, Atelier Choux Paris, Belle Enfant, Caramel, Emile Et Ida, Grevi, Hucklebones, Jessie And James London, Lamantine Paris & Milan, La Stupenderia, Leoca Paris, Little Creative Factory, Minna Parikka Mini, Miss L.Ray, Moon Paris, Nikolia, Olive, Owa Yurika, Pe’pe’, Pèro, Piccola Ludo, Pom D’api, Raspberry Plum Ltd, The Small Gatsby and Velveteen. No todas desfilan.

DISCOVERING CHILDREN’S FASHION BRANDS AT PITTI BIMBO

You already know that from January 18th to 20th, I went to the 86th edition of Pitti Bimbo, the fair in Florence dedicated to children’s fashion. It is an event that I love because I always discover new and interesting brands. In addition, Florence is an ideal place to spend a few days. Pitti Bimbo is celebrated in Fortezza da Basso and in this edition it has received the ideas presented by 578 brands. As you can imagine it is impossible to see them all, but here I will give you a summary and show you the main brands. The truth is that the room is full of people. The organization calculates that there were about 6,870 buyers and more than 10,000 visitors in general during the three days of the fair. I attended three of its catwalks: APARTMENT that collects the most exclusive or author’s brands; KidzFIZZ, which is the concept lab Pitti Bimbo; and the Children’s Fashion from Spain parade that I mentioned here. Also the Monnalisa brand, which is like an institution in Italy, celebrated its 50th anniversary this year with a parade in Fortezza da Basso, rare for them because every year they have organized their catwalk outside the Pitti Bimbo venue. If you keep reading you can see photos from everything I tell you.

They have passed me data of the event and the Spaniards that go to buy infantile fashion to this fair are, so you know, more than 11% of the total. To give you an idea, Japanese there is 12%, British 2%, Germans 2%, Greeks 17% and more than 18% Americans. From Italy 3.5% of buyers attend. In total, buyers come from more than 60 different countries. As a curiosity, this is the ranking of Pitti Bimbo’s main 15 reference markets: Russia is at the top (271 buyers), followed by Spain (203), United Kingdom (184), Germany (148), Turkey (103) Ukraine (102), the Netherlands (96), China (95), France (87), Greece (69), the United States (54), Belgium (52), Japan (48), Switzerland (47) and Portugal (47) . So you have whole numbers.

I love the parades. The one of the Spanish brands, Children’s Fashion, from Spain I have already mentioned in this blog of infantile fashion. It will be necessary to show you some pictures of Apartment, which is the space dedicated to contemporary luxury and has its own parade. Some of its brands do not see them as luxury, rather I would say they are author’s brands. For you to dream in Apartment (place that did not let me photograph or record in my stories for Instagram) there are brands of clothing and accessories for the most exclusive boutiques. The companies present are: Et Sophie, Atelier Choux Paris, Belle Enfant, Caramel, Emile Et Ida, Grevi, Hucklebones, Jessie And James London, Lamantine Paris & Milan, The Stupenderia, Leoca Paris, Little Creative Factory, Minna Parikka Mini, Miss L.Ray, Moon Paris, Nikolia, Olive, Owa Yurika, Pe’pe’, Pèro, Piccola Ludo, Pom D’api, Raspberry Plum Ltd, The Small Gatsby and Velveteen. Some of them I will be talking about these months, presenting their SS18 collections. Not all walked. This year they did Amelie et Sophie, The Stupenderia, Lamantine Paris & Milan, Nikolia, Pèro, Piccola Ludo, The Small Gatsby and Velveteen. Here you have all the photos.

This year I also discovered Pitti Bimbo’s concept lab called KidzFIZZ and although the show insists that all the most innovative collections are here, I believe that there is even more in Apartment. KidzFIZZ is aimed at an evolved international audience. It focuses on research, creative exploration, the lines of contact between fashion and design. Brands like Bandits London, Collegien, DUO Boys and Mini Yo girls, Gosoaky, Ienki Ienki, Maan, mama de seis, mama de seis, Oeuf, Oscar et Valentine Cachemire, Rock’n Lullaby, Tocoto Vintage and Ubang, were present. In the KidzFIZZ Color Carpet walked BAlitsa, Andorine, Iglo + Indi, Le Mu, Maà + Manuela De Juan, Mr Uky, Unlabel Kids and Zombie Dash. I showed you the live show on my social networks and it was very successful.

I will leave this link of all the photos, also of the Monnalisa parade in which the brand celebrated its golden wedding. You can also see in the photos what Pitti Bimbo looks like from the inside with all its areas.
