Bugaboo Donkey2, preparadas para un día fuera de casa

En Navidad apetece pasear con los peques por los mercadillos de paradas de adornos y belenes ¿Lo habéis hecho ya? Es ideal para ir con los niños o alguna amiga. En Barcelona tenemos la Fira de Santa Llúcia frente a la catedral. Yo he ido con mi madre desde que era pequeña. Se suele abrir hacia el 24 de noviembre y dura hasta el 23 de diciembre. Un mes, más o menos, para que podamos comprar todo lo que necesitamos para vestir nuestras casas de fiesta. Me encanta sentir el olor a pino, los villancicos en los altavoces, las luces de colores con sus destellos… Este año he ido con Ale Samaniego ¿La conocéis? Ale es mamá de Mateo, “Ciudadana del mundo, soñadora empedernida y amante incondicional de la vida…” así se presenta en su blog. Nos presentó mi amiga Sonia porque somos vecinas. Ale ha vivido en 5 países (Argentina, Perú, Cuba, Paraguay y España) y ha viajado otros 20. Es muy abierta, creativa y empática. Da gusto estar con ella. Mateo es un niño precioso, bueno, cariñoso y risueño. Juntos los tres hemos disfrutado de un día por Barcelona probando el Bugaboo Donkey2 en versión mono. Nos hemos ido de compras navideñas y el cochecito ha sido nuestra salvación para cargar todo lo que llevábamos. Aquí os voy a hablar más de esta familia y a mostrar todo lo que ofrece este. Es la segunda vez que tengo un Bugaboo Donkey2 en mis manos. Hace un mes salí a pasear con otras dos mamás y os hice una comparativa de este cochecito gemelar Bugaboo de capacidad máxima con el Bugaboo Cameleon3 Atelier, que se lanzó el pasado mes de septiembre y ha sido un éxito también de la marca. Hoy os quiero mostrar el que para mi es el carrito más multifuncional del mercado.

09:00 h. Nuestra historia empieza en la casa de Ale Samaniego que como os comentaba está muy cerquita de la mía en Barcelona. Ale tiene un dúplex muy coqueto en uno de los mejores barrios de esta ciudad. Además, tiene un gusto exquisito para la decoración y tiene rincones preciosos. Me sorprende ver que Mateo y ella van vestidos iguales para nuestro paseo. Guapísimos. Ambos con un jerséis blanco de lana trenzado, jeans, botas marrones y chaqueta de cuero del mismo color. ¿A vosotras os gusta jugar a vestir igual que vuestros peques? A mi me encanta y, sin ir iguales, me gusta hacer estos guiños a la moda. Como este es un blog de moda infantil, es inevitable que me fije en ello.

11:00 h. Nuestro objetivo es pasar un día fuera de casa en uno de los lugares más mágicos de Barcelona en Navidad: la Fira de Santa Llúcia. Hoy es un sitio precioso para visitar pero en 1786 se cree que era un lugar al que asistían las ‘mozas’, las chicas solteras acompañadas de sus madres, bien vestidas y arregladas, para poder encontrar un pretendiente. Santa Llúcia es también la patrona de las modistas, sastres y de todos aquellos que trabajan el arte de la aguja. También de los ciegos, es por ello que cada año yo iba con mi madre de pequeña a ponerle una velita a la catedral para que nos cuidara la vista. Luego paseábamos por esta feria de paradas rojas de Navidad y verdes de pino.

Nuestro Bugaboo Donkey2 es amarillo y gris melange. Lo vamos a utilizar en versión mono y si tenemos que cargar muchas bolsas lo haremos extensible ¿Lo sabíais? El cochecito se puede abrir desde su chasis (en la base y en el manillar) para acoplar otra silla o capazo, pero también para que la cestilla lateral se extienda y quepa en ella todo lo que queremos llevar. Además esta nueva versión renovada del Bugaboo Donkey lleva en esta cestilla una cubierta extraíble para proteger todas nuestras pertenencias. Tiene dos bolsillos integrados, para que podamos mantener nuestras cosas organizadas. Metemos bolsas con cremas, la mochila de Mateo, sus biberones, una manta, la figuras del belén y las flores que compramos durante nuestro paseo. Veréis en las fotos que el Bugaboo Donkey2 tiene también una enorme cestilla de compras inferior (también con un bolsillo protegido) pero no nos hizo falta utilizarla. Pudimos llevarlo todo en la cestilla lateral.

Después de dos test con este cochecito puedo asegurar que con el Bugaboo Donkey2 hemos pasado por todas las puertas de tamaño estándar, incluso cuando está completamente extendido en modo dúo, para almacenar más bolsas durante nuestras compras. Ha entrado en el ascensor con nosotras dos, en el autobús y por la calle lo hemos manejado con una mano. No es un coche pesado. Se conduce de maravilla. La suspensión mejorada en todas las ruedas y los neumáticos rellenos de espuma hacen que pasear sea divertido y ligero ya que el coche se encarga de llevar todo el peso. Nosotras solo disfrutábamos del paseo. En la Fira de Santa Llúcia nos miraban al pasar, porque además de su practicidad, es un cochecito muy, muy bonito. Yo misma lo he montado y colocado en el maletero del coche. Se puede plegar con la silla y ruedas para almacenar, pero incluso en un coche pequeño podéis retirarlas fácilmente.

13:00 h. Paramos a comer. Ale es una persona muy alegre. Es un placer pasear y charlar con ella. Me ha contado toda su historia. Su padre es argentino, su madre paraguaya y ella nació en Perú. Como su padre es diplomático ha vivido en varios países hasta llegar a España. Primero vivió en Madrid y luego vino a Barcelona. Se casó hace un año y medio, Mateo acaba de cumplir 7 meses. En la Universidad Complutense Ale estudió comunicación, ha trabajado en radio y en televisión, donde se especializó en realización. Luego se dedicó al mundo de la organización de eventos y relaciones públicas. Actualmente, trabaja como Community Manager en el sector editorial. Nos pasamos un rato hablando de libros. Una de mis pasiones.

15:00 h. Volvemos a casa. Tengo que ir a recoger a Jorge y Valentina al cole. Ha sido un placer pasar un día con ella con este coche multifuncional preparado para todo y más. Pensad que el Bugaboo Donkey2 podéis usarlo desde el nacimiento con un capazo o para niños más mayores. Si tenéis dos hijos de edades distintas, el Bugaboo Donkey2 puede expandirse y convertirse en un cochecito doble y volver a la configuración mono en tan solo unos sencillos clics. Es pura ingeniería y diseño. Es un precio que vale la pena para un cochecito tan práctico y versátil que crece con la familia.

BUGABOO DONKEY2, PREPARED FOR A DAY OUT OF THE HOUSE

At Christmas, you want to go for a walk with the kids through the markets selling ornaments and cribs. Have you done it yet? It is ideal to go with the children or friends. In Barcelona we have the Fira de Santa Llúcia in front of the cathedral. I’ve went with my mother since I was little. It begins to open around November 24 and lasts until December 23. A month, more or less, why buy everything we need to dress our holiday homes. I love the smell of pine, the carols on the speakers, the colored lights with their flashes … This year became Ale Samaniego. Do you know her? Ale is Mateo’s mother, “Citizen of the world, inveterate dreamer and unconditional lover of life …” is presented in her blog. We introduce our friend Sonia because we are neighbors. Ale has lived in 5 countries (Argentina, Peru, Cuba, Paraguay and Spain) and has traveled 20 others. She is very open, creative and empathetic. It’s nice to be with her. Mateo is a beautiful child, good, loving and happy. Together we three have enjoyed a day in Barcelona testing the Bugaboo Donkey2 in mono version. We have gone shopping for Christmas and the stroller has been our salvation to carry everything we had. Here I am going to talk more about this family and show everything that this offers. It’s the second time that I have had a Bugaboo Donkey2 in my hands. A month ago I went out on a walk with two other moms and made a comparison of this twin car. 09:00 h. Our story begins in the house of Ale Samaniego, which, as I said, is very close to mine in Barcelona. Ale has a very cute duplex in one of the best neighborhoods in this city. Both with white braided wool sweaters, jeans, brown boots and leather jacket of the same color. Do you like to dress the same as your kids? I love it and, without going the same, I like to make these winks in fashion. As this is a children’s fashion blog, it is inevitable that I notice it.

11:00 h. Our goal is to spend a day away from the house in one of the most magical places in Barcelona at Christmas: the Fira de Santa Llúcia. Today is a beautiful place to visit but in 1786 it is believed that it was a place attended by the ‘wenches’, the single girls accompanied by their mothers, well dressed and groomed, to be able to find a suitor. Santa Llúcia is also the patron saint of dressmakers, tailors and all those who work the art of the needle. Also of the blind, that is why every year I went with my mother as a child to put a candle in the cathedral to take care of our sight. Then we walked through this fair of red and green Christmas pine booths.

Our Bugaboo Donkey2 is yellow and gray melange. We will use it in mono version and if we have to load many bags we will extend it. Did you know this? The stroller can be opened from its chassis (at the base and on the handlebar) to fit another chair or carrycot, but also so that the side basket extends and fits into it everything we want to carry. In addition, this new version of the Bugaboo Donkey carries in this basket a removable cover to protect all our belongings. It has two integrated pockets, so we can keep our things organized. We put bags with creams, Mateo’s backpack, his bottles, a blanket, the figures of the nativity scene and the flowers that we bought during our walk. You will see in the photos that the Bugaboo Donkey2 also has a huge lower shopping basket (also with a protected pocket) but we did not need to use it. We were able to take everything in the side basket.

After two tests with this stroller I can assure you that with the Bugaboo Donkey2 we have gone through all the doors of standard size, even when it is fully extended in duo mode, to store more bags during our purchases. It has entered the elevator with us two, on the bus and on the street we have handled it with one hand. It is not a heavy car. It drives wonderfully. The improved all-wheel suspension and foam-filled tires make the ride fun and light as the car takes full weight. We just enjoyed the ride. At the Fira de Santa Llúcia they looked at us as they passed by, because in addition to their practicality, it is a very, very nice stroller. I have mounted it myself and placed it in the trunk of the car. It can be folded with the chair and wheels to store, but even in a small car you can easily remove them.

1:00 p.m. We stop to eat. Ale is a very cheerful person. It is a pleasure to walk and chat with her. She told me her whole story. Her father is Argentinian, her Paraguayan mother and she was born in Peru. As her father is a diplomat he has lived in several countries until he arrived in Spain. First he lived in Madrid and then he came to Barcelona. She was married a year and a half ago, Mateo just turned 7 months old. At the Universidad Complutense Ale studied communication, worked in radio and television, where she specialized in realization. Then she dedicated herself to the world of events and public relations organization. Currently, she works as a Community Manager in the publishing sector. We spent a while talking about books. One of my passions.

3:00 p.m. We come back home. I had to go pick up Jorge and Valentina at school. It has been a pleasure to spend a day with her and with this multifunctional car prepared for everything and more.
