Una niña sube los fríos peldaños de piedra y entra con paso seguro por la puerta de entrada, alta y austera, de la Academia de Ballet de Nueva York. Respira el aroma de la madera y el latón pulidos y se coloca en la barra. El piano empieza a sonar y comienza la danza. Se deja llevar por la melodía y por sus sueños mientras sigue con ligereza los pasos de todas las pequeñas bailarinas que la han precedido. Y sus piruetas y saltos son una celebración de todos los niños que han luchado por encontrar su sitio en el mundo, de todos aquellos pequeños triunfadores con grandes sueños que buscan su propia expresión singular. ¿Recordáis la película Billy Elliot? Cuando la vi me emocioné y hoy he vuelto a hacerlo. Recién llegada de la 080 Barcelona Fashion he asistido a uno de los desfiles más bellos en mi vida. Cristina Fernández junto a la Corella Dance Academy ha creado para Little Creative Factory, para su colección de moda SS18 Dancers, una puesta en escena que nos ha hecho levantar a todos los presentes para aplaudir con fuerza, desde el corazón. Ha sido pura poesía.
Esta nueva colección ‘Dancers’ toma su inspiración de todas las pequeñas criaturas del mundo que se esfuerzan por ser diferentes, por forjar su propio camino y lo hacen con toda la intención e imaginación de la que son capaces. Little Creative Factory ha querido celebrar ese compromiso y la libertad que viene de ser fieles a nuestros sueños. Conozco a Cristina desde que creó la marca y esta filosofía es la suya, la que siempre la ha movido a seguir adelante, a pesar de las dificultades, y la que la ha hecho crear una y otra colección con diseños más sorprendentes que favorecen a grandes y pequeños.
Si os fijáis en la próxima temporada las formas de Little Creative Factory son más voluminosas y fluidas, experimentales y atrevidas. Colores nude combinan con piezas negras, junto a tonos azules y colares. Durante el desfile estuve sentada en un lugar de excepción desde dónde veía los veleidosos tules, pesados linos y tejidos suaves moverse en armonía con los bailarines de la Corella Dance Academy. Lo bueno es que todas las prendas que crea Cristina Fernández se pueden combinar, enlazar, para crear conjuntos individuales con muchísima personalidad que se mueven con libertad y que celebran la identidad única de todos los niños que las lleven.
También de las mujeres porque Little Creative Factory diseña para nosotras. Mi vestido es obra de Cristina, de esta colección SS17 y más a gusto no puedo estar con él. Siempre que llevo sus creaciones me siento única. Little Creative Factory es fiel a sus tejidos naturales y resistentes, aunque su creatividad no tiene fronteras y añade colección tras colección piezas nuevas. Aquí podéis ver capas que inspiran las piruetas de los ‘Dancers’, los pasos de claqué o los saltos de nuestros pequeños. Y ¿a quién no le gusta bailar en libertad? Enhorabuena Cristina.

Do you remember the movie Billy Elliot? When I saw it I was excited and today it happened again. Just arrived at 080 Barcelona Fashion I attended one of the most beautiful parades of my life. Cristina Fernández together with the Corella Dance Academy from Little Creative Factory has created, for her fashion collection SS18 Dancers, a staging that has made us stand to applaud with strength, from the heart. It has been pure poetry.
This new collection ‘Dancers’ takes its inspiration from all the little creatures in the world who strive to be different, forge their own way and do it with all the intention and imagination of which they are capable. Little Creative Factory has wanted to celebrate that commitment and the freedom that comes from being faithful to our dreams.
